The beef cattle chosen to be Kyoto Beef Miyabi are works of art that have been refined over many years through the use of outstanding technologies.

“Miyabi” is a word that describes things that are sophisticated, beautiful and elegant, all of which also capture the essence of Kyoto, the old capital.

  1. The beef cattle is of the Japanese Black variety
  2. The animal is raised for the majority of its life within Kyoto Prefecture
  3. The animal is fattened for at least one year at a specialized farm that is listed under the '"Kyo-no-kodawari" Kyoto's commitment to animal produce farms' register and is delivered from here
  4. The meat is processed in a beef export certified facility
